Dead Rising 4 possibly runs at 1080p on Xbox One

Update: Digital Foundry confirmed Dead Rising 4 runs at 900p on Xbox One. It’s a substantial improvement over Dead Rising 3 which ran at 720p on Xbox One.

Dead Rising 4 went out to reviewers recently and as always, there are plenty of leaks going around. It’s hard to keep everything under wraps but apart from the obvious story elements floating around on NeoGAF and other outlets, there are other details too. According to many reviewers who have the game, the title appears crisp and sharp unlike Dead Rising 3 on Xbox One.

While both games run at 30 FPS, Dead Rising 3 looked blurry and somewhat terrible. Dead Rising 4 on the other hand appears to be running at 1080p or a resolution much closer to that mark. If I were to guess given how recent Xbox One titles are shaping up, it’s probably a 1080p presentation which dynamically scales down to a lower resolution in order to maintain performance. However, you never know. We’ll have to wait until Digital Foundry or VG Tech do an analysis.

We’ve received early access to the game too but don’t have the software required to do an analysis so can’t really confirm or deny any of these reports. The game looks crisp and Xbox One gamers shouldn’t worry about resolution and image quality as they did for Dead Rising 3.
