When it comes to Xbox One, a lot of developers choose a lower resolution. Now, you might attribute that to the fact that the console is weaker than the PlayStation 4. That’s true, but there are other reasons for the decision too. If you’ve been on Facebook or Twitter recently, a lot of PlayStation 4 gamers are complaining about stuttering in Final Fantasy 15. The Xbox One version doesn’t have any such issue. This was confirmed by Digital Foundry today who said that playing it on Xbox One was a better experience than the standard PlayStation 4. You can take a look at what they said in the video.
I know over the past 24 hours many Xbox One owners have complained about the visuals so hopefully this helps them understand the choices Square Enix made. Frame rate and fame pacing are important and its preferable to have a game that doesn’t stutter than one that looks slightly clearer but has stuttering throughout gameplay, especially in intense action scenes.
