Diablo 3: Eternal Collection has been leaked by the ESRB

Another re-release of Blizzard’s fantastic ARPG Diablo 3 could be hitting consoles in the future.

A recent rating from the ESRB has revealed Diablo 3: Eternal Collection for both PS4 and Xbox One. This hints at either a replacement for Reaper of Souls or just a new version of the game becoming available to purchase. If this is to be the case however, a new expansion for the game could be just over the horizon. Reaper of Souls on both consoles has nearly been up-to-date with patches from the PC version so it would only make sense for this new edition to launch with some extra content thrown into the mix.

The ESRB’s rating description for the game states: This is an action role-playing game in which players assume control of a mortal hero (e.g., witch doctor, barbarian, wizard) who must defend humanity from a demonic invasion. From a ¾-overhead perspective, players traverse dungeons/caverns and use swords, axes, flails, and magic attacks to kill a variety of human-like enemies (e.g., zombies, demons, succubi). Battles are accompanied by slashing and flesh-impact sounds, screams of pain, and frequent blood-splatter effects; creatures often explode into bloody fragments as multiple enemies are dispatched at once. Some levels depict burning corpses, bodies impaled on stakes, piles of limbs, and dead villagers amid large pools of blood. During the course of the game, a succubus creature is depicted topless.

It certainly sounds like a Diablo game but we can’t grasp any new details from just this alone. Whether the new content will be shown at E3 2017 is unknown but, hopefully, Diablo fans have some brand-new content to look forward to later this year.
