If you’re like me and are searching the internet from head to toe to find out any little detail about Fallout 4, I have something for you. Fallout 4 will be 28.12 GB to download on Xbox One!
Do not be alarmed at the size, that may seem incredibly small to you since Fallout is supposed to be large in scale. But Bethesda compressed the hell out of the game to get it to this size. For those who don’t know, compression is a reduction in the number of bits needed to represent data. Compressing data can save storage capacity, speed file transfer, and decrease costs for storage hardware and network bandwidth.
Another factor that might lead to the reduced size could be the fact that the game doesn’t feature incredible visuals. Not many Bethesda games do because they usually sacrifice visuals for gameplay. The game you’re dreaming of is there and you will probably end up playing this game until the end of time even though it might not look as good as other titles.
Fallout 4 releases November 10, you can pre-order it now on the Xbox One Store and also snag yourself a copy of Fallout 3 for Xbox 360 which will be playable on Xbox One with backwards compatibility in November. I’m guessing you’ll probably be busy playing Fallout 4 instead.
