CD Projekt RED just announced that The Witcher 3’s first expansion will release on October 13. Hearts of Stone will provide over 10 hours of new content, including new characters, monsters, romance options, storylines, and a new Runewords system.
In Hearts of Stone, Geralt is hired to defeat a bandit captain called Olgierd von Everec-a man who possesses the power of immortality. You’ll apparently be able to recruit a crew of break-in artists, party with a ghost and meet a host of new creatures.
Hearts of Stone is also getting a limited edition box which costs $19.99 and comes with a digital code of the game and two actual physical decks of Gwent cards, along with a rulebook. Anyone who’s already purchased the Expansion Pass will be able to purchase the cards separately at a special site.
