For those that don’t know who Joseph Staten is, he was a writer that joined Bungie in 1998 as Director of Cinematics and was responsible for the in-game movies of Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo 3. He is also the author of the fifth Halo novel titled Halo: Contact Harvest and worked on the story of Halo 3’s expansion, Halo 3: OSDT. Staten has also worked as a writer and designer of the latest Bungie released game Destiny. He left Bungie on September of 2013 and rejoined Microsoft Studios in January of 2014 where he is now.
I’m helping great teams tell great stories, including @Scalebound @Crackdown @QuantumBreak and @ReCoreGame…

A few days back, Staten confirmed on his Twitter feed that he was helping the teams of Scalebound, Crackdown, Quantum Break and ReCore, among others, with writing their stories. Knowing his past work on the Halo franchise, this games will only improve with the help of Joe Staten.
Although Staten isn’t helping 343 Industries with Halo 5: Guardians, 343 has already confirmed that Staten will be releasing a new Halo novel entitled Halo: Shadow of Intent. It will launch on December 7 this year.
