Forza is one of Xbox’s most popular franchises with annual releases now shifting between Turn 10’s simulation series, Forza Motorsport, and Playground Games’ open-world titles, Forza Horizon. During an interview with YouTube channel MotorWorldHype, Turn 10’s Creative Director for Forza Dan Greenawalt, has hinted at the idea of the Forza series branching off into more than the types of “car passion” that Motorsport and Horizon offer.
When asked about the future of the Forza series Greenawalt replied with, “Right now we have two expressions of car passion, right? We’ve got really, really hardcore simulation. It’s about speed, it’s about determination and we have Horizon, expansive. It’s about freedom, it’s about music and it’s fun. It’s always fun. But there’s so much more to car culture and there’s so much more to this world. . . I’m also excited about new ways to explore car culture. New experiences, new expressions. I can’t announce anything of what that is but I think the world is still turning quite a bit and Forza is going to be getting bigger and bigger.”
