A new bundle has appeared on the Xbox Store, for Red Barrel’s survival horror game, ‘Outlast’. The bundle includes the base game and the ‘Whistleblower’ expansion, for a reduced price. The bundle can be purchased right now for £19.99/$28.99, which gives a saving compared to buying the products separately.
Here is what you get in the ‘Bundle of Terror’:
“Outlast:
In the remote mountains of Colorado, horrors wait inside Mount Massive Asylum. A long-abandoned home for the mentally ill, recently re-opened by the “research and charity” branch of the transnational Murkoff Corporation, the asylum has been operating in strict secrecy… until now. Acting on a tip from an anonymous source, independent journalist Miles Upshur breaks into the facility, and what he discovers walks a terrifying line between science and religion, nature and something else entirely.
Whistleblower:
Whistleblower will let you play as Waylon Park, a software engineer under contract with Murkoff and the man who emailed journalists around the world – including Miles – at the beginning of Outlast. Although Whistleblower tells the story that led to Outlast, it will actually stretch past the events of the first game to show the final chapter in Mount Massive Asylum’s story.”
Even though Outlast launched nearly one year ago on the Xbox One, it is still one of the best survival horror games available across all platforms. With few horror games on the Xbox One, this is a must have for those who want an eerie setting with frequent jump scares. Make sure to check out our review, before you pick up this bundle.
