Before and after the release of Battlefield 1, many gamers have been eyeing up the console release of its World War I competitor, Verdun. The release date of Verdun on Xbox One has been up in the air numerous times but developers Blackmill Games have finally addressed this in a public Facebook statement.
“We have been very close to the release several times, therefore our estimate of 1-2 months was a realistic one. However, we have had several (last minute) setbacks to overcome. Today, we submitted the game to Microsoft for certification. This means that in the upcoming 5 days Microsoft will be testing the game on almost everything. We’re hopeful and if all goes well we can finally set a more precise release date.”
Blackmill also claimed that they would take the first available release slot that Microsoft gives them as well as providing everyone a price discount on launch as a thank you for waiting so long. We will keep you updated with more Verdun news, including its final release date, when more information becomes available.
