Angry Mob Games developer Bogdan Iliesiu recently spoke with GamingBolt about the power of Microsoft’s upcoming console, Xbox Scorpio, noting its superior graphical power to other consoles.
When asked if Scorpio’s power can be put to use in the long run, Iliesiu replied, “Sure, it’s usually easy to pump up the graphics, to take advantage of the extra processing power. If the games are designed for the Xbox One, they’ll look great on Scorpio.”
Iliesiu also noted that games made for Scorpio first won’t look good on an original Xbox One. “If it’ll be the other way around, and the games will be pushed to the limits, to look amazing on the Scorpio first, it’ll probably feel like playing on an old laptop, when playing that game on the Xbox One.”
It’s no surprise that Xbox Scorpio graphics would be much better than Xbox One seeing as Microsoft is advertising it as the most powerful console ever made with 6 TFLOPS of power enabling native 4K gaming experiences, but it’s unfortunate for those who won’t be able to afford it if they are receiving obviously inferior games on Xbox One. Hopefully developers like Angry Mob Games, who are currently working on Brawlout, can develop games to the best of their abilities on both consoles. Still, this comparison speaks wonders for the power of Xbox Scorpio, which is set to release in holiday 2017.
